This time of year I make Orange and Clove Pomanders.  They are so simple to make, and their spicy aroma will make your whole house smell of Christmas!
You will need:
– orange
– whole cloves
– toothpick

Chose a good thin skinned orange.
Pierce the orange with a toothpick and poke the cloves into the orange. You can cover the orange completely or make  patterns.
The spicy cloves will absorb the orange juice and give off a great Christmas smell.
Put a group of oranges in a bowl or hang them around the house.

Happy Holidays!

I’ve seen this book on Ebay, but I was not ready to pay their price. Too much. So my friend asked her friend… She got this book from Russia about three months ago. The most difficult part was not to find it or ship it to US, but keep it a secret for three months:) Now I have “Christmas Ornaments. Guide for Beginning Collector.”

I have a small collection of Christmas ornaments. Couple years ago I bought “Pictorial Guide to Christmas Ornaments and Collectibles.” , it is a really good book. But the new one about Russian Christmas ornaments, the ornaments from my childhood… fragile pieces of happiness…
